The Yuletide Wranglers

Yonder in desert Sacramento, 2002. Jethro and Agustus was flat broke. No banks to stick-up, no cattle to herd, no whores to rob, it was a depression a sorts. SO broke was they that they couldn't buy gifts for their mamas on Christmas. So they called in a buddy by the name of Raw Dawg Anderson, and they got to cordin' some old tyme music. "Outlaws and Jingle Bells" was released to estatic reviews, after just being recroded in 3 drunken' days. Lil' Peeball McElroy of the Winkleman County Newsletter summed up the album perfectly, statin that it," Was a collection of Christmas tunes that'll tickle yer funny bone, touch yer heart, and maybe even make it snow. The Wrangler's, they know pain, and sorrow and lonliness during them holidays, and they got just enough sense of humor to make them Christmas days breeze on by, and shoot, you might just enjoy them." But most importantly, they wrapped em up, and gave these records to their mamas, who loved them for miles cause of it. Well a year came and went, and they had their hardships, and Christmas season approached like a bobcat pounchin a field mouse. It was turning out to be another dark season. Seein sadness on Old Man Horizon, the boys sent news over the wire to eachother, and got back in the saddle , er... studio. Adding the rowdy irishman, Mick O mally, to the group, they laid down another slab O' western tunes of sadness and sorrow, with a touch of cheer. "Carols of Rugged Men" hit the sacramento scene with the force of a mule kickin a bucket over the moon. Broadin' their sound with the drummin of Travilin' Travis, the sounded as fierce as ever. They gave homage to the great Murder City Devi's with thier single "364 days,' critics claimed they outdid the original. ""Carols Of Rugged Men" is the best thing out of a cowboys mouth since cherry flavord copenhagen," wrote Lewie Farsworth of the Arbuckle Tribune. So now '04 has rolled on top of us and we are back to our old tricks. After months of preperation and talk, they recorded the album "Fistfull Of Christmas" in 3 days. From a spagetti western epic, to renditions of some modern favorites, and the expected wrangler songs of sorrow, death, and jollyness, new heights have been reached in wranglerdom. The six stringer Jolly JP joined the fold, and fleshed out the wrangler sound with licks that Junior Brown wished he could play. So saddle up and ride the good ride with the boys from round the bend, grab yourself a drink and nestle up to the yuletide wranglers.
